August 2014 Go Karting at Buckmore Park
Sunday the 27th July saw our annual Go-Karting event at Buckmore park. We have been hiring the circuit since the early 1990s for a team endurance race. The event is always well attended by customers , suppliers , staff and families coming along to watch and support their team. We would love to be able to invite all of our customers but unfortunately we are restricted to the track capacity of 35 karts and as such we try to invite different customers each year. If you would like to be considered for the event in the future please don’t hesitate to mention it to one of our sales people when you are placing your next order and they will put your name forward for one of the future events.
This year saw our founder Bill Robertson (86) turn out to present the prizes. Our Chairman Bob Robertson provides a brief overview of the event below ;
[blockquote author=”Bob Robertson”]Probably our best ever Kart event. The weather was perfect, dry, not to hot and no wind. Some 160 people attended the drivers briefing, we strained the capacity of the circuit but the organisers coped extremely well. The racing was exciting to watch, lots of overtaking and many spins. It was even more exciting to take part. We had new staff in the cafe and this solved all last years issues, no real queues, food served quick and tasty. The only fault was it was over too soon, so you are all going to have to come back next year, track already booked. My thanks to Mike Jarman, for organising the whole event, Paul F. David, Jas, Struan, Bill (our founder) and John C. for making sure our customers had a good time. The biggest thank you to you, our customers and suppliers. [/blockquote]
